Field Trip 13 - Teton Pass without snow and Civil Defense Caves!
Our original plan was to go to Schoolroom Glacier in the Tetons but since we were informed by park rangers from our last field trip that there was still 400% snow up in the Tetons from normal, we decided that maybe we wouldn't hike up there. I would like to remind you that that was on July 7. So instead it was decided that we would revisit Teton Canyon (since last time we were snowed out, http://rocksfordinner.blogspot.com/2011/11/field-trip-5-hello-teton-canyon-and.html) and the Civil Defense caves (since the first attempt we were rained out, and the caves still had too much ice in them, http://rocksfordinner.blogspot.com/2011/11/field-trip-4-spencer-idaho-and-cinder.html). This was also the last field trip in GEOL 380! How sad! ...
